Thomas “Raggs” Radcliff – Department Chief

Chief Radcliff “Raggs” has been with the Department for 34 years. He has held the position of 1st Lieutenant, 2nd Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief and Deputy Chief before becoming Chief in 2016. Raggs has also served the Department as a Trustee and the Sargent at Arms. Chief Radcliff started in the fire service as a junior when he was 15 and has rose through the ranks, making stops at Deptford FD (Battalion 4) and Woodbury FD (5-1). Chief Radcliff is trained in all aspects of tech rescue, rapid intervention, ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 300, ICS 400, Auto 1, Auto II and Big Rig Rescue, just to name a few. Chief Radcliff says his greatest award is be elected to the Chief’s position but the Chief has also received many other awards for his service.

Raggs’ favorite quote is “Don’t Be Afraid to be great in this Business!.” He also says it is a privilege to be apart of this department & association.
